Tthe film could have been written by a dance movie plot generator.. If Sex and the City is a hit, it will be partly because it's an enjoyable and somewhat true depiction of female friendship. But grown women will also go to see it because, finally, someone made a movie for them.. Rock of Ages is not a spoof, but it might as well be, given how little there is to root for.. However you play up this material -- as camp, melodrama, anthem, or goof -- it sags under the weight of its lightweight prete...
